| I replaced my alternator a couple days ago and when i drove it after to make sure it was working, cylinder 5 wasnt firing. I played with the PTU wires, the ones between the car and the sub-connector, and it picked back up and ran perfect. Last night though it did it again, but a little worse. Now, no matter what I do, i cant get my cylinder 5 back. When i moved the PTU wires (trying to push them in to see if it broke contact) it either has no change or it gets even worse. I took them apart and bent the connectors to fit more tightly (i had already cleaned it and packed it with dielectric grease) and still no change. I was wondering if my problem still lies with the wires, or if maybe its the PTU itself. also, im thinking about just soldering the wires straight across the sub-connectors and moving the PTU somewhere behind the drivers side headlight. any help? thanks
